The Act also provides for moving such vehicles at the owner's cost. All persons using these roads and streets within the Municipality of the Town of Newcastle in the winter season are requested to keep this in mind and govern themselves accordingly. J. Millbrook edged the win 4-3. Ken Prescott scored two of the Orono goals unassisted with the third coming from Brett Johnston with an assist to Ren Prescott. Jamie Cowan played a terrific game on defence for the local club. PEEWEE HORNETS EDGE MILLBROOK K 3-2 On December 12th the Orono Hornets played a fasi brand of hockey and came out on top 3-2 over Millbrook K team. Warren Nichols opened the scoring with a solo end to end rush. Kirk Carr later tied the score at two-all, with Millbrook having scored two goals. Within less than two minutes remaining in the game Ian Morley received the puck h om the face off in the opposition's end and with a hard slap shot to the lower corner tallied the winner. When the teams stay away from penalties you can notice that all the players are coming on well and the Hornets should be contenders throughout the season, if not champs in the league. ORONO O.M.H.A. PEEWEES POST FIRST WIN On Saturday, December 13th the O.M.H.A. PeeWees scored their first win of the season by defeating Port Hope 4-1. Orono opened the scoring in the first period on a goal by Paul King from Steve Stec. Dennis Klawitter added another to put Orono out infront 2-0 at the end of the period. Port Hope scored their goal in the second period while Orono was held scorless. Orono added two more goals in the third to end the game 4-1. Dennis Klawitter scored his second of the night snapping the puck behind the Port Hope goalie unassisted. Alan Webster on a pass from William Van Segglen put the game on ice for Orono. Joe Davis and Todd Haynes played well for Orono. BANTAMS PLAY TWO GAMES The Orono Bantams on Thursday night held a brief lead in a game with Pickering. The opening perod was scorless with Pickering scoring the first goal in the second. Following this goal Orono went ahead with two counters when Marcel Charland scored with assist from Kenny Evans and Pat Williams scored unassisted. This front position wasn't held too long by the local boys before Pickering popped in five goals to bring the score to 6-2. Before the end of the game Marcel Charland scored his second goal of the night with assist to John West to end the game 6-3 in Pickering's favour. The Orono Bantams were edged 8-7 on Saturday night -■ The local boys played well in the opening Hutton unassisted. Then in the n two goals by Stephen Haynes Button and an unassisted count nd of the second period Orono scored by David Hutton with both counts.
