In the morning the service was taken by the Sunday School. They did exceedingly well. Corrine Turansky gave the opening prayer. The seniors sang a couple of choruses and then the juniors, accompanied accompanied at the piano by Mrs. K. Wood. The boys recited ini unison the ten commandments. commandments. The intermediates each gave a verse of the twenty third psalm. A sword drill was held; Danny-Wagar represented the boys, Robin Ibbotson the girls in locating any passage of scripture. The boys won but the race was very close. Andrew, Steven and Rolf Hellebust sang for us. A duet "In the Garden" was sung by Ronald Ibbotson and Donald Fonk. Attendance pins were given out. The trophies were given to the various winners. Several children children had perfect attendance. They were given pencils.Then the United Church Women gave books to all who had attended more than thirty Sundays. There were twenty- two pupils each received a book and a set of the Bibles in comic book form. A story was told about the founder of the Y.M.C.A., Sir George Wil liams. Bonnie George from Rose- neat h did an excellent job on some Kitty Wells songs and also a ballat song called' "The Black Sheep". Reg Post on his 5 string banjo pleased the crowd with some blue grass pickin', with some help from Rod Craig on fiddle and Joe Howe; on lead guitar. David Brown the 14 year old singer from Port Hppe was much appreciated when he sang his songs. A strong voice from a young man, . Daisy and Delbert Tompkins Tompkins from Little Britton was a • real crowd pleaser when they appeared on stage to entertain entertain the crowd with their songs of harmony and blue . grass style. Marlene Ogar and Maxirfe Winters regulars of the Hayloft Hayloft appeared with Carl Leitch to also add to the show. Len Sommerscales on steel guitar added something extra to the show also.
