TSHIRTS ■The students who had ordered t-shirts at Omno Public School received them in the past week. After taking , them home more than -60 ■ students wanted them for their brothers or sisters. Mr. Yeo took these orders for two days and has to order them now to get them back before schools out. These t-shirts are red and have a white school crest on the top left hand corner. The crest which has been the school crest for over 50 years, has a book, ball and music note in an O. They have made for a good school spirit. For the progress thatO.P.S. made in selling the t-shirts they were awarded a trophy. By Kathy BamJbrick GRADUATION On June 24 there will be a grade 6 graduation at Orono Park at 12:00 noon. We will have barbecued hot dogs and cold drinks. At the graduation the grade 6's will be awarded their sports bars, music bars and all other school bars earned. SLEEPING CHILDREN AROUND THE WORLD ■ Sleeping children around the world is an organization that helps children all over the world that provides the children with a bed to sleep in. The 3 boys they bought beds for are Patrie 14 yrs. old and lives in Bombay India; Kabita 10 yrs old and lives in Darjeeling India and Sarig who is 15 lives in Lahore Pakistan. By Annette Stephenson BIKE INSPECTION Mr. J. R. Simser principal of Orono Public School is going to have a surprise Bike Inspection. During the inspection there will be a True and False question sheet, they must .know the rules of the road. The students that pass this test will receive a sticker or button to put on their bikes. Hopefully the pupils will now the reason for . this inspection and become safe riders. DEMAND UP The decision to expand is based on present and projected projected market demands for intermediate-sized intermediate-sized cars made in Oshawa, which include Chevelles, Monte Carlos and Pontiac LeMans. Comparable in cost to GM's recently-built battery plant in south Oshawa, the extension to the west side of the car assembly- plant will begin with the start of- the 1977 model, year in July or August. In the 1976 model year, which began in September 1975, GM has sold 'almost 104,000 intermediate-priced range cars compared to 74,000 of the same price range cars in a comparable per iod in the 1975 model year. "The decision to expand is indicative of the corporation's faith in us", a GM spokesman in Oshawa said.
