Last week Mayor Pottiçary of Oshawa moved an amendment at the planning planning meeting asking that the designation of a special study area be lifted from the second marsh and that it be designated designated industrial. This passed the meeting by a .vote of 20-4 with Counc. Lyall, George Ashe, Jack Anderson and Bill Ballinger voting against the lfiting of the designation.
