"There were 66 fewer drivers and passengers killed and 6,765 fewer injured, in motor vehicle accidents dur- ing the first six months of this year, compared to the same period a yedr ago," Mr. Snow .said.' "Considering-the death and injury toll has been on the increase for a number of years, I'm certainly encouraged encouraged 'by these figures. "It's obvious the legislation is helping to reduce the carnage on ,our streets and highways. I hope the "trend continues".
