Final ladies LOBB ball contest at Orono Park on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. The championship for the Ladies' LOBB ball will be decided,in Orono on Thursday evening under the lights with the game being called at 8:30 p.m. in the Orono Park. The best of two out of three series is all tied up with one game apiece between Midas Muffler and H. Partner Plumbing and Heating.Last week the Midas Muffler girls took a decided win over the H. Partner squad by a score something like 26-12 even though the Partner girls came out strong at bat in the opening frame. On Tuesday night in tfie Park the Partner girls surprised the Midas Muffler girls with their first defeat of the season having completed the league with no defeats. Partners took the edge 14-13. The final game goes this Thursday night and support will no doubt he out in abundance for both teams. LOBB ball has been a most successful venture in the Town this year for both men and women. Interest has been keen and everyone has been given the chance to play within the regulations of the league. Come out on Thursday and give your support to'one or the other of the teams. CAN LOOK FOR A LOT OF LOBB BALL AT THE ORONO PARK With Men's .LOBB ball finals now underway the Orono diamond will come into use for the major portion of the latter part of the series. Games have been scheduled for September 7th, 8th and 9th, all being double headers. The championship championship round starts on September 13 with the first game in Bowmanyille at 6:30. It will continue on September 14th and 15th in the H Orono Park with starting times at 6:30 p.m. If the four and fifth game are necessary they will be played in Bowmanville and Orono respectively also being called at 6:30 on September 20 artd September 21. The team will play in the final championship game this Thursday at 8:30 p.m. in the Orono Park. Orono swim contests The summer swimming programs in the Town of ' Newcastle will 'edge to the season's end with a big splash Friday, September 3 when swimming meets will be held in the thrçe Town pools at Orono, Newcastle Village and , Bowmanville. The lands affected are those where it is considered that the present division of land and the nature of existing commercial buildings makes it .impractical for parking spaces to be provided in connectin with the development or redevelopemnt of land or the renovation or change of use of buildings for commercial purposes. The Corporation of THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE By-law No. 76-38 A by-law to amend By-law 1587 of the former Town of Bowmanville, as amended. i WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle deems it advisable to amend By-law 1587 of the former Town of Bowmanville, as amended; NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle ENACTS as follows : 1.
