In failing health for two years he was born in Hope Township. Son of the late George and Melona Jones. He was married January 16th 1932 to Elsie Isabel McHolm. After serving in the 1st World War he became a member of Br.-178 Legion of Bowman ville. For many years he farmed in Hope Township, then moving to Orono where he resided for 36 years. An employee of General General Motors for 23 years, retiring eleven years ago. He supported all sports in the community. Surviving besides his wife are his children George, of ' Bowmanville, Eileen (Mrs. Don Stephens) Orono, Carol ly (Mrs. Brian Priestley) Oshawa, Joyce (Mrs. Francis Cowan) Orono, Patsy (Mrs. Fred Storsbergen), Orono, Paul, Orono, and Julie (Mrs. Règ Worr) Garden Hill, 17 Grandchildren and 1 Great grandchild.
