Down, our guest speaker from Ebenezer United Chur ch. | Mrs. Down is Past President of the Oshawa Presbyterial U.C.W. Our opening hymn was, "Will Ydur Anchor Hold in the Storms of Life". Mrs. M. Stevens read Psalm 24. Miss Stewart read a poem entitled, "Hands". Mrs. A. Tizzard sang "Sweet Hour of Prayer". Prayer". Miss Stewart who is our stewardship convenor intro- educed the speaker. Mrs. Down said that stewarsliip is the essence of living. We should consider it a privel- edge to give our time and talents. Our homes should be a place of peace and love. A mother is usually the first to answer a child's questions about God, heaven, sharing with playmates, etc. A mother mother must walk close to God. She read several interesting articles on the stewardship of money. Mrs. R. Elliott thanked her for her very fine message and asked her to accept a small gift. November 13th, and our church Anniversary on October October 24 th, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Forik,; Don, Richard and Robert of Woodstock were at church on Sunday morning and visited her mother Mrs. E. Foster. Miss Margaret Seens visited visited her sister Mrs. R. Elliott last week end. Mrs. L. Burwash, Cobourg, visited Mrs. G. Cathcart. An exhibition of drawings ■ There will be an exhibition of the drawings of Toronto artist Brian Grison from September 14 to Oclober 3 at Trent Univiersity's Mackenzie Mackenzie Gallery east of the Otonabee 'River. Hours are Tuesday to Friday from 12 to 4 p.m., Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 1, to 5 p.m. ' The exhibit is partially funded by the Art Gallery of Ontario through their "Artists "Artists With Their Work" prog- „ram, and drawing workshops will be held at the end of the exhibition. Curator III/ Maria /Trimp'ai says the workshops wit probably consist of one day for children, one day for Trent art students, and two days'for the general public.
