Hancock ; and a bütter trough given by Mrs. Doris Roberts. This last item - stamped "T. Eatons & Co." - is listed in the, reproduction of their 1927 catalogue as being "Economical "Economical and Efficient": it was priced at $6.50. Mon., Tues., Thurs, Fri. 2-5 Thursday Evening 6 - 8:30 p.m. Urges keeping Marsh as is Two fourth-year students from the University of Toronto, Toronto, school of architecture recently presented their report report to the Regional Planning Committee regarding the Second Second Marsh in Ostiawa as well as the Lynde Shore and Cranberry Marshes in Whitby The report stated that the preservation of these marsh Areas were of "the utmost priority" to planners* politi- , cians and developers, especially especially the Second Marsh area where industrial takeover takeover is a threat. The students say there is very little information to support a second harbour or outer harbour in the Oshawa area and that it was unlikely that citizehs would support such a move. "With great lakes shipping declining it is likely that harbour expansion' may' not occur, or at least as not as extensively as envisioned." The report also stated that, "There seems to be a lack of information in the terms of ecological, recreational, industrial industrial and economic trends. This information is either confidential or non-existent. If it is confidential -- it must be made public." "If it is non-existent then a group of professionals must be hired to acquire the information," stated the report. The students' concern a- • ft ft ft ft ft ft . ft - ft ft •' ft ft ft ft ft ft ft ft ft ft ft ft • bout preservation of marsh- • land is based on the clearing ® of 45 to 55 percent of southern ft Ontario's wetlands over the •' past years for economic reasons.
