Again this year the three-day open season for deer provided hunters a fine opportunity to test their skills and participate in the harvest of a healthy, renewable natural resource. The townships townships of Manvers, Cavan, Mariposa, and the former townships of Reach, Scugog Island, Cartwright, Clarke and Darlington, the location of the three-day hunt again this year, all support strong populations of deer. Ministry officials checking in the field during the hunt generally report a moderate number of hunters. The ORONO Nursery School Call 987-4012 O.M.H.A. Atom & Midget weather was good and substantial substantial numbers of deer were seen. Needless to say a somewhat smaller number were actualy harvested., It would appear that hunter success was most prevalent in Manvers, Cavan an- J Reach. The Nonquon Wildli.. Area in the former township of Reach provided particularly particularly fine hunting opportunities. Ministry officials report . that the hunt went very ' smoothly and hunter conduct in the field was very good. To the Voters of Ward 111 Town of Newcastle, Ontario As you are awhre, I am a candidate for Regional Councillor for Ward III in the up-coming election, December 6th, 1976. . The purpose of this letter is, simply, to refute the various rumors that have come to my attention concerning my healjjji capabilities should l be elected. 4 Anyone involved in .this type of mud-slinging must be very small-minded and greatly concerned that I will be elected......possibly because they know I am my own ntan and make my own decisions. I will have no part of mud-slinging activités in this election. I, like all of you, am only human and the majority of us have, from time to time in our lives, had a few health problems. I am pleased to say that since 1973 I have lost 35 - 40 pounds due to proper diet and care under the supervision of an excellent physician . . . changed my mode of living, although working just'as hard, if not harder . ... . . my health situation is extremely good I am'in the best health that I have been for over twenty years. 1 . If the above were not true, I would be a fool to enter the rigors of an election campaign. I would also be doing you, the citizens, a disservice in placing my name on the election ballot. My only purpose in seeking election is to work for your best interest - locally and regionally. 1 Let me put this one question to you . • "Do you know what kind of physical condition you will be in to-morrow, nextiweek, etc.**'...... There is ohly one obvious anSwer and that is "NO". lA closing this letter, t ask for your vote and your support of my election as your Regional councillor. Sineereîv KEITH D.
