Table Courtice school purchase The finance committee of the Town of Newcastle made no recommendation on the purchase of the old Courtice School building and property on Highway No. 2. It was proposed by the former council that the Town should purchase this property from the Northumberland and Newcastle Board of Education and to convert the school building for use as a library in the Courtice area. Negotiations between the Town and the Board of Education are far apart as to the price to be paid for the property.
