She said most of the trips .arranged through the centre were for the two US , centres, Vâncouver, Edmonton Edmonton and Calgary. These special rate;} are in effect for,the special flights from March 29th to May 8tft and for $159 the lucky traveller can fly from Toronto , to Vancouver return. It appears that more holi- Community Care volunteer workshop Periodic workshops are just part of the ongoing programs initiated by Community Care in the Town of Newcastle. While providing an opportunity opportunity for as many volunteers as possible to get together in order to share opinions and to provide some ' constructive criticisms for the operation, there is always some particular particular subject as a focal point for thegworkshop. On Thursday, March 29th ' there will be a Community Care Workshop from 1:15 p.m. to 3:30 p m. to be held in the Upper hall of the'St. John'5 Anglican Church in Bowmanville. Bowmanville. The guest speaker will be Mrs. Munro from the Ministry of Health Program Advisory Branch. She will be speaking onüie quality of life in the nursing homeg. Propose Hourly busing Bowmanville to Oshawa The Planning and Development Development Committee of the Town 4>f Newcastle gave their stamp of approval to a bus Service between Bowmanville ançi Oshâwa on Monday. This approval will now go for council's consideration. It is proposed that an hourly service ,be established between between Bowmanville and the Oshawa Bus Terminal by Charterways on contract with . GO transit. Modern Go buses would be employed for the service. It is. also proposed that every other hour the bus would take riders to the 'Oshawa Shopping Centre. The hours of operation would be from 6:40 a.m. to . 10:15 p.m.
