This compared in 1974 with Lawrence polling 552 votes, Beckett, liberal 417 and Walker NDP197. - In Tuesdays election Lawrence Lawrence received 52.5 percent of the ballots cast compared to 43.3 percent of those cast in the 1974 election. Wilson gained about 26 percent of the vote compared to Beckett, liberal, 38.3 percent in the 1974 election. The NDP vote on Tuesday was a little over 20 percent compared to 18.4 percent in the 74 election.
