•'MW? 3 Students at Lockhart's School using their imagination imagination can now traverse the great canyons of the world, stand upon the deck of a pirate ship, climb the highest mountain or play a Tarzan through the,new playground structure at the school. It all came about through a concerted concerted effort of the Lockhart Community Association, support support for the Board of Education Education and funding from Win- tario and other local events within the community. The playground structure was dedicated to its use on Sunday following a pancake breakfast held at the school by the Community Assoc iation. The imaginative creation was designed by Walter Gibson and through assistance assistance of many in the cpm- munity including Albert Mun- neke, Dave Gibson and Ross McComb the structure now stands for use by the students at Lockharts. Its a great example of what a community, even a small, community, can do if it puts its mind to the project. Funds for Orono Hall Board Council gave approval to a recommendation from the Community Centre's Committee Committee that the operation of the Orono Town Hall as of July 1st, 1979 be handed over to the appointed Board of Management for operation. The Town is supplying the Board with a sum of $2,500 plus accounts receivable for use by the local Board. It was asked if the $2,500 been budgeted. Alex Guiler, Town Manager, sard there was no funds in the .Recreation budget and also said council could not continually continually come up with project funding. The money, he said, was just not there. Mayor Rickard stated that the funds were in the budget for the maintenance of municipal municipal buildings.
