Kerry Coleman, environmental environmental biologist with the Ministry of Natural Resources Resources will speak on 'Ways to manage, your land for wildlife' wildlife' and how the Ministry can help. Ted Gadawaski of Ducks Unlimited will present management management of wetlands for waterfowl and also outline co-operative arrangements available through Ducks Unlimited Unlimited to local landowners. Bill Newell, resource technician, technician, with the Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority Authority will also speak at the meeting and will outline the programs available to the public through the Conservation Conservation Services program of the Ganaraska. The meeting has been called for 7:00 p.m. Township would meet Japanese Board Roy Foster e has met with the Township of Hope seeking the Townships co-operation in a development proposal for a Japanese Cultural Centre which was formerly proposed for east of Orono. Foster told council that the Cultural Centre Road was unwilling to proceed with the plans for the development until they were assured of co-operation from the Township. The Township has made it known that they would welcome welcome a delegation to discuss the proposal but would not seek the development with the promise of a future agreement with the Japanese Cultural Board. The land under consideration consideration is parts of Lots 31 and 32 in the ninth concession of Hope Township and is owned by Roy Foster. Foster has à proposal on the property for a sub-division but has said he would withdraw this proposal if the Cultural Centre was to go ahead. The land is located just south of the Ganaraska Forest Forest less than a mile east of the Newcastle-Hope boundary. It was pointed out at the meeting that there was a possibility of need of improvement improvement of the boundary road if the proposal went ahead and that at the present time the road was the object of controversary with the Ganaraska Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority who operated a residential education centre just north of the ninth line. The cost of such road improvement would have to , be shared between Hope and Newcastle and in the past Hope 1 has objected to spending spending money on roads that did not have a substantial use by local residents. The number of clients unemployed and registered for work at the Canada Employment Centres in Ajax, Whitby and Oshawa for the month, of September totalled 9,182, consisting of 5,425 female and 3,757 male clients. Placements in the three offices totalled 1,077 for; the month, which compares to a total of 848 placements during August. The majority of clients were registered in Clerical and related; Sales; Service; Product Fabricating; Fabricating; Assembling and Repairs; Repairs; Material-Handling and Related. Employers listed 3,676 vacancies at these centres during 1979 compared to 2,643 'in 1978. The centres placed 3,495 students during 1979 compared to 2,277 in 1978. Employers are encouraged to take advantage of the Employment Tax Credit Program Program which provides a tax advantage of up to $3,120 for a 12 month period for each employee hired under this program.
