The candidate also said he is still interested in the extension of the calling area to Bowmanville and Ôshawa and if it takes his efforts as a council member to accomplish accomplish this he is willing. Irwin said the Telephone Ratepayers Ratepayers Association is awaiting awaiting the. results of a Bell study in the Orono exchange areas and he expects the calling area to be extended to Bowmanville sometime near the end of the year. He said he would not be satisfied until this is extended to the Oshawa exchange.
