New ski run at Oshawa club Members and nonmembers nonmembers of the Oshawa Ski Club will have a thrilling and adventurous season of skiing this year. With a peewee instruction program in which children five to thirteen can learn the basics of good skiing, everyone including children, can enjoy the fun and skiing at the Oshawa Ski Club offers every winter. Skiers of all ages can test their skill and ability bn 17 different runs with a vertical drop of over 300 feet. The Ski Club held an Open House, Sunday October 26, so that skiers could visualize some of the off-season improvements improvements that have been made. . Several trails have been widened and habitual skiers will be happy to know that a new run has been cut through the bush west of the ski jump. The new run is the first stage , of a three-phase program that will enable the club to utilize more fully the west portion of their land. The top of the run will be raised and for those skiers Who like to slide and hate to walk a lift will be installed in that area. Other improvements include include two electric compres- sor$ and the addition of a new water pump that will add to the club's snow-making capacity. capacity.
