Backus Woods, a 650-acre area nestled on the Norfolk sand plain near Lake Erie, is owned by the Long Point Conservation Authority but its management is entrusted entrusted to the foresters of the Ministry of Natural Resources Resources whose vision àppar- ently does not extend beyond the end of the nearest chainsaw.
