The aroma of baked cookies filling the house, the children busily making Christmas decorations and Jack Frost tapping gently oil the window panes, are welcome signs that Christmas and festive parties are just around the corner. A cookie swap is a popular way to cut down on baking time and havfe a fun get-together with friends. Each person brings one dozen favourite festive cookies for each person contributing to the swap. All applications for the -'Marathon of Hope" research, research, programs, which have been developed by the National National Cancer Institute of Canada ; in 'co-operation with the Canadian Cancer Society, must be received by March 14, 1981; funding will commence commence on July 1.
