The cheque (of up to $250) will be the first installment of their 1981 Property ( Tax Grant and will be calculated automatically as one half of their 1980 grant. In tfye fall, they will , each receive an application form which, \when processed, will make up 1 the balance of their 1981 Property Tax Grant. "Previously, seniors had to file a federal income tax return in order to receive thçir Ontario tax credits," said Revenue Minister Lome Maeck. "Under the new Ontario Tax Grapts program, the interim property Tax Grant will arrive automatically automatically in April to more closely coincide with the time when most people are' paying their interim municipal and school tax bills," Seniors who turn 65t after . A survey on sportfishing in Ontario will be carried out early in 1981 by Ontario's Ministry of Natural Resources in conjunction with the federal Department of Fisheries and Oceans, Ontario's Natural Resources Resources Minister James Auld announced. "The last survey was carried out in 1975, and up-to-date information is required to manage effectively • for the demands that will be placed on Ontario's fisheries in the . next decade," Mr, Auld said. | Questionnaires will be mailed to two groups: 7,500 non-residents chosen from 1980 Ontario angling licence hplders, and 40,000 randomly chosen Ontario residents.
