Enrolment is still open for, the second session of the Water Safety program being held at the Orono Park. The first session is now well on its way with a good enrolment. The second session opens on August 4th and runs through to August 24th and there is lots of room in all classes to be part of this program. program. It's true, however, on Tuesday July 21st, we are expecting a Royal Ontario Museum Museumobile to visit us. What's a Museumobile? - It's a "self- contained exhibit space on wheels", and this one will have a fascinating exhibit on Ontario fossils. It will be open to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. We are hoping hoping that A) the driver doesn't decide Orono is in an earthquake earthquake zone when he sees all the mended strips in the roadway roadway and B) that it will fit in the parking lot. As I was writing about this very temporary expansion to our premises, it occurred to me that perhaps'we should do the same thing - equip a fleet of buses with exhibits on Clarke Township, one for EVERY community • this, museum represents - Bond Head, Kendal, Kirby, Leskardj Newcastle, Newton- ville, Orono, Port Granby, and Starkville (in alphabetical order). We should also have one just for ' agricultural exhibits (just think of it - a bus-drawn plow!), and the Kirby schoolhouse .could be used for administration and storage. No one would feel left out, and we could really reach the people, not to mention mention drive up on their lawns. Hamre and Hubbard presented a motion to council that the Director of Planning complete an inventory of all municipàl property in the Orono area and report to the Planning Committee as soon as possible.
