Corporation of the TOWN OF NEWCASTLE NOTICE INFORMATION MUNICIPAL GARBAGE COLLECTION SERVICES By-Law 82-184 of The Corporation of the Town of Newcastle, being a by-law to regulate the handling and collecting of garbage, rubbish, ashes and other waste materials within the limits of the Municipal Collection. areas of the Town, stipulates, in part, as follows: 1. The Town shall collect not more than six receptacles receptacles or bundles per single dwelling unit, and not more than four receptacles or bundles per dwelling dwelling unit from any apartment building with six (6) or more dwelling units, 2. All garbage for collection shall be covered or contained, and shall not contain more than forty (40) pounds in weight; receptacles shall be either cans with " lids, non-returnable plastic bags capable of being lifted with contents, or cardboard cardboard boxes, securely tied. 3. Brush, tree or garden refuse shall be placed in . plastic bags or cardboard cartons, securely tied, or compacted and tied in bundles having a weight riot .exceeding forty (40) pounds and no dimension exceeding three (3) feet. 4. Materials NOT collected include liquid waste of any origin, building materials or refuse, discarded auto parts, tires, accessories, etc., furniture, appliances, appliances, sod, earth, tree limbs, stone, animal carcasses, carcasses, explosive or radioactive materials, hot aphes. 5. Except by order of the Director of Public Works, no garbage collection vehicle, or Town-employed collector or contractor, shall enter upon private property for the purpose*of collecting garbage or other refuse or waste materials. '6. All garbage containers must be at curbside no later than 7:00 a.m. on the day of collection. 7. There will be NO GARBAGE COLLECTION ON Statutory Holidays, but collection shall normally be made on the following business day.
