Williams - Heard Wedding On Saturday, October 16th, 1982 at 3 p.m. in St. Paul's United Church, Bowman ville, Wendy Doris Heard became the bride of Brian Edward Williams. This was also the day of the bride's parents 28th Wedding Anniversary. Pastor Henry Fischer and the Reverend Edward Edward Schamerhorn officiated. officiated. Mr. Douglas Dewell was the organist. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elgin Heard, R.R. 2, Newcastle, and the groom is the son of Mrs. Jack Gannon of Oshawa, and the late Mr. Douglas Williams. Given in marriage by her father, the bride was lovely in a formal gown of white silk chiffon, over satin made by her mother. The gown featured a lace appliqued bodice, full chiffon sleeves gathered to elbow length cuffs with lace appliques on the cuffs. A soft flowing "A" line skirt formed into a long train. A floor length illusion illusion veil gathered to a lace headpiece, with lace and seed pearls on the edge of the veil, was dotted, with tiny appliqued appliqued flowers over all. The bridal bouquet was a replica of her mother's wedding hoquet hoquet of red roses, white stephanotis and baby's breath. The matron of honour was Debbie Wright, sister of the i bride, and the bridesmaids were Donna Hopkins and Chris Benedict. The flower girl was Kandi-Jo Wright, i nieçé of the bride. The attendants attendants were gowned alike in burgundy satin brocade and carried bouquets of pink roses, white stephanotis and baby's breath. Best man was Barry Bit- toff, of Oshawa, and the ushers were John Hothi of Burlington, brother-in-law of the groom, and Ron Marchant Marchant of Bowmanville, cousin of the bride. Michael Hothi, nephew of the groom was the ring bearer. Receiving the guests at the reception held at the Brownsdale Community Centre, Centre, the mother of the bride wore a formal gown of dusty rose silk with a corsage of burgundy and rose coloured silk mums. Assisting in receiving the guests, the groom's mother wore a formal formal gown of coral polyester with matching corsage of mums.
