Orono Atoms Team 1 continued continued its winning streak Wednesday with a closely fought 2-1 victory over previously unbeaten Marketplan from Bowman- ville. Greg Hooper and Shawn Hardy supplied the goals, but Craig Nemis dominated the game with excellent excellent defensive play. Brad Minnis at centre half and Jim Partner in goal eliminated Orono No. 3 played the Bowman ville Rams in Bowmanville on June 9th. Due to the Operatta being held at the Orono Public School, the team was missing two key players in Kim Lyceti (catcher) and Leanne Lycett) (pitcher), and Christy Flin- toff was pulled from shortstop shortstop to play catcher. Leanne Reid was brought in from the outfield to pitch, and Michele Alic was brought in to play short-stop. Leanne had a number of strike-outs which became very important.
