Sheila Stoneberg, Mark RytheYford, Christina Kilpatrick and Raymond Herb Tink of the Solina Park Board received the support support of the council members on Monday for a slight revision revision of their park work schedule that will now allow the board to proceed with the installation of a ball back stop. The . Solina Park Board were commended for their project and .with keeping within their budget. In total the board will have some '$171,000.00 to spend on the development of the park in Solina which is made up of $10,000 already raised in the Solina Community, a $6,000.00 grant from the Town, the proceeds from the sale of the former park lands, and monies from Wintario, already, received and a grant from the provincial community community centres branch. The latter grant of some $42,000 is yet to arrive. With the receipt of the Community Centres grant the Solina Board will proceed with washroom facilities and a tennis court for the playgrounds. In the meantime the board wants to complete a ball back stop this year which now has been approved by council members meeting in committee. committee. /' Mr. Tink informed council members that the community raised their allotment of $10,000 through a dance, rummage sale, a Solina Day, barbecue and other local events. * Counc.
