The second game of the season was played in Ops, whom Orono tied 2-2. Goals went to Keith Vey and David Lafrance. Assists went to Michel Brisson 2, Keith Vey 1 and John Cowan 2. Orono's third game brrfught the Oshawa Esplanade team to Orono for an exhibition tame, with a final of 3-2, the win going to Oshawa. 'Both Orono goals were scored by Michel Brisson and assists went tp Dave Little and Keith Vey. Game four took Orono to Lindsay for a win of 6-3. Michel Brisson managed two goals, Paul Henry 1, Mike Cairns 1, Guy Brachvogel 1 and Stephen Murree 1. Assists went to Stephen Murree Murree 3, Michel Brisson 2 and singles to Keith Vey, Mark Sargent, Mike Cairns and Rod Storsbergen. The following game was on home ice against Bewdley with Orono on top with the final score of 4-3. The sixth game was to have been played in Manvers but was cancelled.. cancelled.. Game seven took Orono to Newcastle, only to lose by a frustrating'6-5. Orono then came back to play Ops on home ice, losing to Ops 3-2. Records for these games were unavailable. The most recent game, on Monday night, brought the Oshawa Blackhawks to Orono for another exhibition game, which Orono took the win 4-3. Orono goals went to Paul Henry, Keith Vey, Rod Storsbergen ,and John .Cowan. M5W 1X7. , * n/c Orono Novice team takes big edge over Ops by 9-3 score On Sunday, November 20th, the Orono Novice Club travelled to Ops and came home with a 9-3 victory over the Ops Novices. Orono opened the scoring with an unassisted goal from Stephen Stadelmann. Five minutes later Jason Hansen slid the puck into the Ops net with an assist from Stephen Stadelmann. On a breakaway Paul Flintoff received an unassisted goal. With less than 1 minute left in the first period, Ops popped the puck past goalie John Buttigieg. The second period saw Ops receive a second goal trying to even up the score but the Orono boys turned on the play with 3 unanswered goals of the period. Chris Yeo received 2 goals and an assist and Stephen Shetler received the other goal. The third period gave Orono a greater lead with 3 goals to Ops 1. Orono goal scorers for the third period were Jean-Paul Tousignant, Stephen Shetler and Jeffery Wilson, with 2 assists going to Jeffery Wilson, Stephen Shetler with 1 and Chris Yeo with 2. - Orono received 5 penalties in this game, with Jason Hansen for body contact, Michael Doty for tripping and gloving the puck, Adam Wallace, for tripping, and Jean-Paul Tousignant for tripping. This game saw the Orono team play more like a team than the night before when they hosted the Bowmanviile team for an exhibition game. Bowmanviile went home with a 6-0 victory over the Orono boys. Next game is Saturday, November 26th, 6:00 p.m. when Millbrook comes to town. Camsport atom action in tournament and league play First action for the local boys came at a tournament in Ennismore. October 29thj they played against a strong Peterborough St. James team and were defeated 7-2. Jeff Devolin picked up two late third period goals assisted by Shane Jones and Jamie Ball on the first goal while Kevin Roy and Jamie assisted on the second goal. Jarret Prescott was in goal for Orono in the tournament and made many fine stops. The next day Orono defeated En- nismore's White team 4-3 in a very close game. Scott Williams was set up by Kevin Roy on Orono's first goal after Ennismore had taken a 2-0 lead. Greg Hooper then turned it on scoring two goals in a row. Scott Hall assisted on both of Greg's goals and Andrew Taylor assisted on one. Chad Vandam gave Orono a 4-2 lead early in the third period assisted by Shane- Jones. Nearer the end of the third period Ennismore scored but Orono held on for their first win and a chance in the Consolation game. To make it brief Orono was wiped out 9-0 by a fine Peterborough Peterborough St. Peters team in the Consolation game. The wipe out continued as ■ the boys lost an exhibition game in Newcastle on November 2nd by a score of 8-0. November 4th was the first league game against the En- ,n'ismore White team in Orono. Andrew Taylor with an assist by Jeff Devolin accounted accounted for the only goal of the first period. Greg Hooper in goal for Orono kept the Ennismore team off the score board.
