Millbrook scored early in the first period. They held the 1-0 lead until Orono scored 8 seconds into the third period. Jeff Devolin assisted by Kevin Roy and Jarret Prescott got Orono back into the game. Orono's Scott Hall kicked out many shots from close range but nine seconds after the Orono goal, Millbrook scored to regain the lead. The Orono boys fought back very aggressively' aggressively' Jarret Prescott jambed a loose puck into the Millbrook net with only 6:42 remaining, Jeff and Kevin got the assists on the goal. In spite of a lot of hard work and many good chances Orono couldn't get the go ahead goal but neither could Millbrook. Final score 2-2. Friday, November 25, the Ennismore White team came to Orono to try and break the Orono jinx. In three earlier season games Orono has been victorious each time. En nismore struck at the 5:47 mark to take a 1-0 lead but Orono stormed back to tie thé game 26 seconds later when Jeff Devolin scored assisted by defenseman Chad Vandam. Ennismore regained regained the lead early in the second period. Sean McKenzie passed passed the puck to Greg Hooper who scored to tie the game at 2 each. One minute later Andrew Andrew Taylor scored giving. Orono a 3-2 lead. Sean McKenzie and Scott Williams assisted on the play. Jarret Prescott in goal for Orono Junior Gardener's Christmas Show as he played shut-tiut hockey throughout the third period. Maybe a hint of things to come. Final score Orono 3 -Ennismore White 2. The next morning Orono played the only team to beat them in league play this season, Ennismore Green. The local boys were really up for this one. 1 They hustled from start to finish and it paid off. First period goals by Andrew Taylor and Chad Vandam, both unassisted gave Orono a 2-0 lead. Jamie Ball scored early in the second second period assisted by Scott Hall and Sean Winning. Scott Williams made it 4-0 at the end of the period. Scott Hart- ' wig had a fine game on defense playing line position very well. The Orono Junior Gardeners' Christmas Show as held on November 24th at the United Church. Eleven of the juniors were present and played several games while the show was being judged by Isabell Challice. Prizes went to the boy and girl with the most points in the Christmas Show, won by Kevin Scott and Robin Robinson. Achievement awards started at the first of the year were won by the Junior and Senior with the most points for the year. Junior section was won by Kevin Scott and senior section section by Robin Robinson. Prizes were donated by Stutts Pharmacy, Village Bake Shop,,Rolph's Hardware and thé Apple Blossom Shop. Shelley-Anne Zegers supplied supplied homemade cookies which were served with hot chocolate. Each child received received a Chrytmas box of cacti and succulents donated by Leila Werry, Minnie Zegers and Helen Robinson. We would like to thank all those who supported us through the year supplying us with prizes and other useful articles, everything is much appreciated.
