Of course there are others and these through just sheer luck drop in at the top with ease. No matter how its down we . look upon it as an achieve-* ment and as such heap praise upon the successful. It ■■■ generally is warranted in one ' fashion or another. You may remember that I ■ wrote of the Three Orono Stooges who made their debut on CHEX TV, Peterborough, Peterborough, and even Though they were listed in the TV Guide with all necessary information information for viewing; their ; own show missed it. Of course that was none other than Carlos Tamblyn, Sid Rutherford and yours ttjuly. At that time there was no : declaration of a top-dog for this illustrious trio. That has all changed. Both official ,and unofficially unofficially Sid Rutherford can now easily be declared to have sole ownership of the top rung of the ladder for the Three Stooges. Whether he will admit it or not is a debatable question. The fact is he is there. It all came about when last Wednesday at noon Rutherford Rutherford phoned to ask if I was going to an advisory board meeting for the Ganaraska of which both of us are ,members. 1 pointed out that I was unable to and he commented that due to weather conditions conditions he would then be missing missing the meeting. Later in the day I thought •it the better part of courtesy to inform the Authority that I would not be attending and did just that to find out that Rutherford had phoned stating that both of us would not be attending the meeting that night. Weather conditions improved improved after supper and Rutherford just hates to'miss these meetings where he expounds expounds his philosphy as to the natural environment. Of . course he' sat in the parking lot at the Authority office in Port Hope in a total blackout blackout realizing he had outwitted himself. This really puts him in place as top dog of the Three Stooges. But truly I can sympathize with him for a number of yèars ago I had a similar ex- Announcement The Orono Little Charitable Foundation is pleased to announce that effective January 1st, 1984 Dr. M. K. I had travelled to Toronto to attend a Conservation Authority Chairmen's meeting in the MacDonald's Block of Queen Park. The meeting was being held in the Algonquin Room and I did arrive safely but as usual a lit- ' tie late but not due to blown rad hose, flat tire or transmission transmission trouble. It was a matter of 'starting out from Orono later than anticipated. The car was parked, I made my entrance into the building, quickly found Algonquin Room, doffed my coat in .the, clockroom and took up residence on the sole remaining empty chair at the oval table. At this point I looked around and found I was sitting sitting with total strangers and the subject of conversation was Secondary .School curriculum, curriculum, nothing to do with conservation. It was obvious I had the wrong room. With as few words as possible I apologized apologized and took my leave of absence to, in the hall, rummage rummage through my coat pocket for the notice of meeting which clearly stated the meeting was to be held in the Algonquin Room. On my way to the information information desk I thought I had better better take one more look at the notice which still clearly noted the meeting to be held in the Algonquin Room . . . ' but that was the day before my arrival. And so we live on awaiting 'he next episode. it does not exist in all schools.
