Guthrie, "The Best of George" and his beds (Continued from page 6) To change the subject, (or just bend it a little) while still thinking about beds. Have you ever tried a hnsnital bed in traction? That's always good for laughs. And you ladies will appreciate the bliss of ' relaxing in the recovery room after a happy event. (The bed was probably probably the least of your worries) I've never experienced that situation personally (natch) but I do have a vivid imagination. So finally, in conclusion, I attempt attempt to become extremely modern with my views of beds, and their rfarious usages. I Today we have fundamentally three choices: First, the aforementioned waterbed (sorry I kept you waiting all this time, Mary!!) But after all those years in the navy, the last thing I want is a waterbed. I don't need any reminders of "a life on the ocean wave." Secondly, we now have a remarkable contrivance called the "craftmatic bed". No doubt it suits, some people, but until I decide that 1 wish to sleep like a pretzel, I think I'll pass, on that contraption. And last, but by no means least we still have the good old flat bed, that has served us well for years, both for sleeping, and-well resting, anyway! ! . I have tried all the proceeding examples examples personally, (except the hospital beds) so many remaqks are authentic, although»perhaps a little exaggerated, there is really only one resting place I haven't tried - and that one we will all find out for ourselves - but that's another story. Happy Sleeping - or whatever, George
