«sphrono Weekly Tleses, Wednesdây, May 21,1986 Clarke High School bands perform The Clarke High School bands under the direction of Keith Nicholas last week performed admirably admirably showing great improvement since the beginning of the school A talented singer year. It was apparent they were well rehearsed and played within their limits. A partial score from the musical, Cats, was well received and a credit to the young musicians. In all it was an outstanding night for those enjoying music. , system and an amazing light show. The show will go from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. and the cost is only five dollars. To our knowledge, Clarke has never had a video dance so it should be an experience to all who attend. The Clarke Music Variety Night on May 14 was a great success with a large crowd in attendance to see Tommy & The T.J.'s, a performance performance from 'Grease' and. many other great acts. A great piano performance performance was put on bÿ Lesley Bar- raball as well as several other pianists. The junior and senior band have come a long way since September and came through with a smashing performance. Sheri Koenig, as usual, did a great job • with two vocal solos and as co- ' hostess alongside Scott Yeo. The teachers, showing us talents usually unseen, put on two great acts, The Classical Quartet and Tommy & The T.J.'s. Overall, the night was a great success and' a lot. of fun for everyone. Student Council Executive Elections Elections were this week and the new executive executive are: Christie Lomax, Audley DgCosta, Jenny McNeely, Michelle White and Patti Irwin. We wish them the best of luck next year. ; It's was a hectic week and we all enjoyed the break offered by the holiday weekend. (Students Against Driving Drunk) is blossoming into a large organization! organization! Many students are working hard around the community to get the message across., On Sunday, May 25th the students will be holding a car wash at Clarke High School. For a small fee of two dollars you can get your car washed and make a contribution to S.A.D.D,! A conference is being held at Clarke on June 5.
