Kay Lycett, acting on behalf of the proponent, had asked for the tabling of the application to allow further dialogue between the Region of Durham Health Unit and the proponents engineer as to the suitability of the site for the three proposed residential dwellings. .. In the report submitted to the Town committee the planning department had recommended denial of the application for the three residential lots but submitted that approval be given to develop a single lot on private services for water supply. . The Region of Durham Health Unit states the property is not suited for three building lots insofar .as health matters are concerned and approval was not. recommended as (Continued page 3) Deny extending Tyrone residential proposal A group of citizens from the hamlet of Tyrone on Monday made it known to council members that in no way would they support more residential development in the hamlet and that proposals before the Town committee should be turned 'thumbs down'. : ■ Applications before committee called for the .extension of an approved approved 7rlot development to 11 lots while two other developments asked for approval of 4p lots outside of the approved Hamlet Development Plan for Tyrone. Those objecting to, the development development addressed council members in mass stating the plan would use good farm, land, would abut onto the Conservation area and would affect the rural atmosphere of the community.
