Terminates contract of nine teachers The contracts of nine teachers have been terminated by the Northumberland Northumberland and Newcastle Board of Education which include one full time teacher and eight part-time techers. This is the lowest number ' of positions that have been ter-, ruinated by the board in recent years. A drop in enrolment is stated to be the cause of the terminations. Approves major plans for Oshawa development The planning and development committee of the City of Oshawa has given their approval for a major residential development in the City. If City council gives their approval approval the 1 way is then open for the development of 700 homes in the north-east corner of Oshawa at Harmony and Corbett's Road. The handling of an old city dump has been the hold-back on the plan.
