4-Orono Weekly Times, Wednesday, July 9, 1986 Off to school again Twenty-five to thirty kids from the Orono area are back to school attending the Northumberland and Newcastle Board of Education Summer School in Bowmariville. Students are taking both academic subjects as well as recreational recreational programs. 129 graduate from Pines Senior School Recently at the Pines Senior Public School one hundred and twenty-nine grade 8 students graduated to grade 9 for the coming school year this September. The General Purpose committee committee of the Town had on June 2 voted to recommend to council council denial of the proposal to, extend extend the boundaries of Tyrone and to redesignate the subject lands to Short Term Residential Expansion allowing a maximum of 31 residential lots. When the recommendation reached council, council tabled the amendment to the hamlet plan for a period of two months during which time the developers were to meet with the residents to endeavour to reach some form of agreement.
