It appears some of the owners are ' now ready to accept a new offer from an unidentified buyer. The Rosewood group intended to build a hotel, plaza and other recreational facilities in Bewdley and did hold options of necessary lands for the development but the. options have run out. Rules against Eldorado request for injunction Eldorado Resources has failed to gain an injunction restraining the actions of strikers ( at, their Port Hope plant. The Ontario Supreme Court has dismissed the injunction application. application. "The application was made after picketers blocked a truck entering the plant which was driven by a non-union driver. Plans court battle against Ottawa jurisdiction bid The Ontario energy Board will go to court in an attempt to stave off two challenges to its control over provincial gas regulations. The Association has called off such action. Shrives stated he was not surprised surprised that the rotating strikes were called off. He said- the idea is now to follow the issue through the courts and launch a public relations campaign which will lead into the next provincial election. He said Bowmanville doctors - might .conduct public information days but didn't feel there would be unanimous participation. Shrives said doctors are all pretty disillusioned with the government and felt as if they had been used as a political football. Job could be at stake at sugar refinery Some workers at the Lantic Sugar Refinery in Oshawa, who now total 130, may be laid off if sanctions are ' established by the federal govcrnent against imports from South Africa. Sugar from South Africa is of the highest quality but some feel the supply could be augmented from other exporters still maintaining the level of employment at the Oshawa refinery. Seeks licence for more flights out of Oshawa Inter City airways has applied for a licence to fly Mirabel, and Pearson Pearson Airports out of Oshawa with the desire to establish flights to these two points this year. Inter City now flies seven flights daily to Montreal, Windsor and Ottawa. Ottawa. It also plans flights to Buffalo in the near future. People in north Oshawa are looking looking for a reduction of flights to and from Oshawa and Oshawa council last month passed a motion to'oppose to'oppose any new licences for the municipal airport. Parts shortages delay new car production The shortage of parts delays the commencement of production of the new line of 1986 cars and forces extended layoffs for 10,000 workers at the Oshawa plant. $20 for 306 hospital beds for Region The recent announcement by'the Ontario government results in a sum of $20 million being allocated for Region of Durham hospitals which will provide funding for 201 chronic care and 105 acute care beds. The Durham Region's district health council executive director states the announcement was very welcomed news. Most of the new money will, be spent in Oshawa, J. O. It is recorded that only 40 percent of dogs and 15 percent of cats receive vaccinations.
