The hall was very colourful with excellent displays of flowers and vegetables. The President welcomed the crowd especially our visitors from Newcastle and Port Hope. Jessica and Arnold Mostert entertained with several musical selections and led in a sing-song, much enjoyed by all. Isabelle Challice introduced our guests Ann and Don Evans who brought us a very interesting display of lovely slides of their trip to Europe. The photography was excellent, excellent, particularly of the churches and cathedrals. - These were much enjoyed and Lawrence Staples thanked our guests. A very colourful and tasty lunch was served by the lunch committee *of Bertha White, Isabel Trim and , Isabelle Challice. The Judges for the show were, Mss. Dora Atwell and Miss Hazel Wilson from Peterborough. Adele McGill handed out the prizes from the Spring Show. Lorna Atkins gave out the list, of the gfand prize winners of the show. Carol Mostert had the most points was disqualified as she had been a recent winner. There were 246 entries in the show and twenty-five exhibitors. Most points in the decorative section section was Donna Hutton receiving a gift from the Apple Blossom Shop. Best arrangement in the show was won by Coric De Jong.
