John Hubicki had said the building could fold like a deck of cards under certain snow and wind conditions. This resulted in the Authority closing the building temporarily temporarily until receiving a detailed report of the engineer's study from Totten Sim Hubicki. According to Heather Ruther.- ford, chief administrative officer for the Authority, the detailed report claimed the building safe without snow load and within the limits of a 30 miles an hour wind range. She said the detailed report also said the gym would not flatten , even in a 60 mile an hour wind. The administrator said the Authority is proceeding to obtain design completed so the gym would meet present day Building Code specifications. In the meantime the Authority is monitoring wind speed at the Cen- . tre twice daily and if necessary will monitor the speed every half hour under certain conditions. She said it is a time of the year when the facility is of considerable use in the Centre's program. As to the dining hall building and the pump house building she said there condition is not of a priority concern at the present time. The Ganaraska Region .
