Both teams worked hard to score but there wasn't a goal scored until the third period when Jason Lawrence assisted by Sommer West shot the puck «into the Newcastle net to win the game 1-0. Later that day Orono hosted Manvers. Manvers came on strong in the 1st period scoring the first goal. In the second period Orono's Jeff Hughes, assisted by Scott Ransberry, scored, from then, on the game was all Orono's. In the third period Sommer West scored another goal assisted by Jason Lawrence ending the game 2-1 for Orono Novice.
