Right from the opening drop of the puck, Orono took charge and pressured the Omemee goaltcnder but could not score. With less than two minutes remaining in the first period and Omemee playing short handed, Orono coughed, up the puck in their own end. Omemee pounced on the puck and drove in a hard drive on the short side to go ahead 1-0. This would be the only time that Omemee would light the goal light.- From the start of the second period Orono shifted gears to start their own scorig drive. Orono's goalie Chad Maàrtense assisted on their first goal when he passed the puck to Chris Yeo, Chris passed cross ice to Trevor Lomax who blasted in the goal. The backing of our spectators was a real.boost, and'the defensive play by Brad "Bush Pig" Minnis - "Crazy" Crâig Nemis and Jim "Scrappy Doo" Partner was * most helpful. The constant hustle of Jeff "Beaver" Hartwig and "Comic" Cameron Esler was evident evident all evening as "Rowdy" Russ Major - Bert "The Natural", Reid - Dennis "Horror Show" Hartwig and Bob "The Scout"» Sheridan brought on the win with their sup- port- behind the bench.
