Home Act by the Ontario Legislature's Standning Committee on Social Development resulted in M.P.P.s proposing the following list of rights. -the right to nursing and medical care consistent with individual needs -the right to privacy in treating and in caring for personal needs -the right to medical information -the right to have medical records kept confidential -the right to be informed about the consequences of refusing intrusive procedures or restraints -the right to communicate in confidence confidence and receive visitors of one's choice -the right to have family present 24 hours a day if death is imminent -the right to meet privately with a spouse -the right to be informed in writing of any law, rule, or policy affecting the operation of the home, and of the procedure for initiating complaints. complaints.
