Orono Weekly Times, Wednesday, May 20, 1987-3 The Olde Grey Mare Ain't What She Used To Be Happy Fortieth Birthday Ann Love Deb and Chris Orono Junior Gardeners hold successful show The Orono Junior Gardeners held a very successful Spring Flower Show on Thursday , May 14th in the lesser hall at the Orono United Church. The demonstration given in April by Yvonne Maitland on flower arranging arranging proves to have been very'in- spiring. Twenty-three children brought in a total of 64 exhibits. Because of the tremendous turnout' for Class 4 (for which each child had received a dish and oasis) - it was necessary to divide the exhibits in half so that more children could receive a. prize. Mrs. ti'uth Tink of Hampton who judged the show felt that in some classes more than one should receive Honourable Méntion and several fourth prizes have been awarded. We thank Mrs. Lynn Finlay and Mrs, Clapdorp for their assistance and especially Mr. Murray Taylor of Rolph Dominion Hardware Store for donating a watering can for a door prize. Luçky winner Diana Borremans will surely make good use of it. Our club has grown again as we welcomed three more new members: Karrie and Karen Forrester Forrester and Michelle Faulkner.
