4-Orpno Weekly Times, Wednesday, August 26, 4987 Neighbourhood Bike Parade i OBITUARY Oliver Wesley Knapp Son of William Daniel and Loiiise DeMille. He was born in Cartwright Township and educated in Enfield. In 1918 he married Nellie Turner. He worked on construction construction and at General Motors. He moved to the Farm where he became a farmer in 1925. He was a resident of Clarke Township for the rest of his life. On Thursday, July 9th, 1987 at 12:15 p.m. at Bowmanville Memorial Hospital be passed away. He was 89 years old: Hè had been ill for six weeks. He has one surviving brother Mervin of Clinton, Ontario. Ontario. Surviving are his children Kate (Mrs. H. Prescott), Ross R., Oliver Jr., Lois (Mrs. K. Moore) all from Orono, Ernest from Bowmanville and Albert of Lindsay. He has many grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. greatgrandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Nellie Turner and son Herbert (Red), brothers Gordon, Gordon, Norman, Louis and William > and sisters Rose, Elsie, Violet and Ethel. The Reverend E. Schamerhorn officiated at the funeral service. The service was held at the Morris Funeral Chapel, Bowmanville, on Saturday at 1 p.m. The organist was Mrs. Helen McDonald. Pallbearers were all grandsons, Allen,' Arthur, Wesley, Gordon, and Bruce Knapp and Ron Prescott (Pete). The Neighbourhood children of the Irwin sub-division in south Orono held their second annual Children's Bike paradé last week. The Deremo children, the De Jong kids and their cousins, the Zegers, the' Bickell's and the Wilhelm children all took part in the event.
