Juice is available from the club by ordering on Thursday at the arena during Canskate. Mrs. Shirley Robinson will take orders for juice which will be delivered to the arena on Tuesdays. The price is competitive and is handy for packipg lunches. Clarke Museum to ring out with bell Kirby school, S.S. No. 14, the home of the Clarke Museum and Archives will once again be able to ring out. Through the generousity of Mr. Rob Sawyer, the bell from Maple Grove will have a new home at the Museum. The Pines News Remembrance Day Our Remembrance Day assembly this year is being held in the gymnasium, gymnasium, on Wednesday, November 11th, from 10:25 to 11:00. Bowmanville Public School, M. J. Hobbs, St. Stephens and Knox Christian all took part in it. Our boys, played good games, but were defeated by Bowmanville and St. Stephens both with scores of 1 - 0. As Mr. Massie informed us, everyone was very enthusiastic and tried hard. Mr. Massie believed Of a type and style similar to the original Kirby Bell, this addition of the collection will finish off the restoration of the exterior of the building to the 1890's time period. The 'original' bell was installed in 1891 at a cost of $33. plus $7,50 labour and $26.08 renovation cost to the bellfry. The bellfry was put on the building at the time of .construction .construction in 1878 but, remained closed in until 1891 when a bell was acquired. ' Orono Weekly Kevin Scott did a super job as goalie, as well as making good passes. The boys first game was like playing in a mud bath, and the whole team got quite muddy. Everyone had a good time. Brunt and Mme. Brasch have formed a French club for interested,students at the Pines. Many exciting events Times, Wednesday, November 11, 1987-7 will be taking place throughout the course of the year. The upcoming activity will be French folk dancing, directed by Mrs. Walchuk. Mme. Brunt reports that at least fifty students will attend the meetings on each day 2 in our French room. Mme. Brunt believes that it promotes promotes the French culture and the French language. All in all, the French club is a good experience for the students and we thank Mme. Brasch and Mme.
