Forage Crop Testing Service: by Wendy Warren, Forage Crop Tester, 1988 I'd. like to take this opportunity to thank all those farmers in Durham East, who participated in the 1988 Forage Crop Testing Service. Service. I have been making farm calls for the .past eight weeks and have thoroughly enjoyed meeting and dealing with-all of you. You have made this' summer job interesting and quite unforgetable. In just eight weeks I have visited 140 farms and of those, Ü2 were in Durham east. This county total is an increase from last year and thusx_ is a positive indication to us at OMAF because: 1) Firstly, it shows us more people have become aware of the program and have accepted the free service offered. 2) Secondly, it shows us YOU are becoming concerned with the quality quality of feed you give your livestock. Thus our initial objective, to make you aware of nutrition, has been met. 3) Lastly, your cooperation has shown us that people need this service service and possibly, because of your support, this service will become annual. Once again/thank you for mak-' ing my "Summer Experience '88" such a fantastic job. Your cooperation cooperation and kindness have made this summer, one I will fondly look back .Upon. He • pointed out that a select committee is studying the'future demand and generation of power and that it would be the province that gives the direction for the future.
