Hobbs, they won 15-0 but in the next two games, Hobbs managed managed to score some points. After M.J. Hobbs played Bowman ville and lost their games, the . Pines played Bowmanville. The Pines won their first two games, followed by one loss. Because these games were the championship games, it was the best of five series and they won their next game, thus winning the gold medal. This tournament was sponsored by the Great Pine.Ridge Kinsmen. The team has one more tournament tournament in January, in which eight schools will participate. On behalf of the grade seven volleyball team, The Pines Report would like to thank the parent volunteer Mr. White, who coached the girls team, all the people who Orono started to put things together in the third period scoring 4 goals to Millbrook's noné. The Prin- A year to remember As the year 1988 comes to its last few days we remember all the things that we had done over this past year. Do you remember! February 18th was election day: cipal gave a brief speech and then introduced the Student Council President, Jeff Graham, who welcomed the grade 8's to the high school. On the evening of December 14th, the grade 7 boys played in a volleyball tournament at Clarke High School. The boys started off against M.J. Hobbs and overwhelmed overwhelmed them. In the first game, after Hobbs got one point, Daryl Reid went on a serving binge, scoring scoring 15 points in a row. In the second game,"M.J. Hobbs played a much improved game but still lost by a much more respectable score, 15-8. In the final match the Hobbs boys played like they did in theTfirst game while the Pines simply baffled with their mixture of powerful overhand serves and soft underhand serves. Bowmanville played M.J. Hobbs next. For the first match Hobbs could not handle Bowmanville's powerful servers and lost 15-8. In the second game Bowmanville played a very sloppy game and lost in a close game 15-13. Finally, Hobbs played well but just couldn't return the serves of Bowmanville's best players. In the championship round, the Pines met Bowmanville in a best of five series. In the first game the Pines played as a team and came out on top, winning 15-8. In the second second match the Pines, who were playing some of the best volleyball of the tournament, simply outplayed Bowmanville, winning 15-10. This is where it almost fell apart for the Pine's team. They lost only because they were bunching up and not playing as a team. The score was 15-9. It kept falling apart for the Pines who lost 15-13 in the closest game of the tournament. This was it. They would either come home as champions or as losers. As it turned out they pulled through. This match was probably the best played of the tournament . The Pines were losing 12-10 when they made a valiant comeback, winning winning 15.-12 and coming home with the gold medal. The Pines school would like to congratulate team members and coaches for their winning winning ways. Photography Group Recently I caught up to Mr. Farrington Farrington and interviewed him on the photography group. He told me that he has Tom Tamblyn, Philip 'Plath and Robin Plazek in his photography group. His group has been working with flash and without flash.
