At the present, we are putting together Christmas Baskets. This is an annual project which'we find lives up to our motto "Serving the Community's Greatest Need." There is one area where we need the community's help. We have an ongoing project with Fundraise Canada, which involves the submission submission of UPC symbols from every day items such as Nescafe coffee, • Facelle paper products, Trident Gum, Dare products, Coke & Sprite bottle cap liners, 9 Lives cat food, Duracell batteries etc. It takes very little time and effort to cut these symbols out and with more community community involvement, we could possibly raise $500.00 a year for our seniors, schools, sports or wherever it is needed. There is a drop-off area in the Newcastle IGA. We certainly appreciate any support in this project. project. Our December meeting will be joint with our Kinsmen.
