Newton ville Alive by Peggy Mullan Thank you very much! Derek Barton, il of Newtonville took the initiative last week to write me a "little scoop" for this column while he was out and about town! It took me back a little...isn't it nice that perhaps some of the kids feel part of Newtonville Alive and the com munity. 1 quote Derek's memo..."On June 2, 1989 at the Newtonville park, a new piece of equipment was put in by three workers. The new piece is a twist slide, steps to climb up, a pole to slide down and a coil to climb up and down." During Environment Week, June 4th - 10th, activities were on the go around the region.
