Marg West All through the Psalms we are told to Praise the Lord, to sing songs unto Him and Him alone. Psalm 96:4-5 says, "For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised: He is to be feared (reverred) above all gods. For all the gods of the nations are idols: But the Lord made the heavens." What are these other gods that God is referring to in verse 5? Any religion that does not confess confess Jesus as Lord is Anti-Christ (against Christ). Some religions believe Jesus was just a good man or a prophet, but not the Son of God. Many believe He is on the-same level as Buddah, Hare Krishna, the Yogi's, there are many others, just another quote "prophet", but this is not so. There are many religions but only one Christ. 1 John 4:2 "Hereby -we know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God." The above scripture will help you decide if the religion you are involved involved with is Christ centered. Exodus 20:3 "Thoii shall have no other gods before me." False religions are other gods, anything that takes first place in our lives is another god, money, children, husbands, wives etc. God wants, first place. There is only one way to get to God, and that is through Jesus Christ. None of the religious prophets prophets died for you, Jesus did. He died that you might have eternal eternal life. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever (that's you and me) believeth in Him should not perish but have eternal life." So all you whosoever's out there who want eternal life ask Jesus to come into your heart today. He loves you.
