Estate residential plan reversed at council The uncertainty of any outcome or the future was demonstrated on Monday evening when the Reid/Reyneart proposal for 14 estate residential lots, east of Kirby, came before council. The proposal had passed by a 4 to 2 vote the previous Monday but at council on Monday night the application application was turned aside on the call of a recorded vote which ended in a tie, 3 to 3. Comic. Larry Hannah who had voted for the proposal at the General Purpose committee meeting was absent from council due to sickness. The Mayor who had held the chair the previous Monday had not voted at the time but this past Monday recorded her negative vote.
