Orono Athletic fund raising update The Orono Amateur Athletic' Association sponsored fund raising drive for community athletics is off to a fine start. This is due to generous contributions contributions by area businesses and the many recipe entries received from our athletes. We have a 200 recipe cook book on order and hopefully it will be here in time for the Orono Fair. I would like to apologize at this time for the rather untimely and rushed' deadline for returning recipe sheets. We were slow getting the fund raiser started and wanted to have the cook books back in time for the fair. This has resulted in many people away on holidays not being able to get their recipes in on time. Several recipes were received after the order was sent in and unfortunately unfortunately will not be in the cook book. These recipes are being saved however and if this cook book sale is successful then in a couple years time we may try it again on " a larger scale and hopefully with better timing. In conjunction with our cook book sales we held an Orono Amateur Athletes Logo Contest. Contest. The logos were to reflect all the sports that the O.A.A.A. sponsors or is affiliated with.
