Les is does a splendid job in organizing the cooking '.ivities. Sam and Ross spoke oriefly to the audience. Christian Corner by Rev. Marg West Have you ever stopped to think about things? What are things? Webster describes things this way, "any matter, affair, or concern. A happening, act, incident, incident, a tangible object, an inanimate inanimate object. An item, detail, personal belongings, a garment, a person, a point of dispute, an issue, an irrational liking, fear." Now in Ephesians 1:22 it tells us that all things are under His feet (Jesus) and that He is the head . over all things to the Church (His people). Everything in this world has a name. Since Jesus is head over all things and all things under His feet, and He has given us all authority, why do we see His people living in poverty, sickness, condemnation, fear and demonic oppression. Christians Christians are living far below their standards, according to the word of God. Why? The answer lies in us, are we reading the Bible daily and praying about the circumstances in our lives, expecting to see The Ransberry family held their 28th annual reunion on August 12th at Mac Ransberry's farm, north of Orono. The "west hundred" was cut, mowed mowed and raked and made ready for over 100 family members who attended, some from as far away as Montreal, Vancouver and California. A record results from our prayers. When we go to church on Sunday are we listening and understanding what is being preached or taught or are our minds of other things (the kids, the wash, golf, vacation) etc. Some people go to church for appearance. It makes them look good to the community. If we do not understand what the sermon is about are we able to go to the one preaching or teaching and ask for an explanation explanation of the message, and if we do understand are we living what the message says? The bible is not just a book on ancient history it is our guideline for successful living. If we put to practice what we know. When we are going on vacation vacation we never leave home without consulting the road map. How much more should we be consulting the Bible for direction for our daily living. Read your Bible daily. Read a Proverb everyday, there are thirty-one, one for everyday of the month. They are wonderful. I love reading themj you will be amazed at how much you will learn and understand.
